Правильный тетраэдр — это многогранник, у которого все четыре грани являются равносторонними треугольниками. Пусть вершины тетраэдра обозначены как $A, B, C$ и $D$.
Плоскость симметрии — это такая плоскость, которая делит фигуру на две части, являющиеся зеркальными отражениями друг друга.
Для правильного тетраэдра плоскость симметрии можно построить, взяв любое его ребро и середину противолежащего (скрещивающегося с ним) ребра. Такая плоскость будет делить тетраэдр на две равные части.
Всего у тетраэдра 6 ребер, которые образуют 3 пары противолежащих ребер:
- $AB$ и $CD$
- $AC$ и $BD$
- $AD$ и $BC$
Каждое ребро определяет одну плоскость симметрии. Например, плоскость, проходящая через ребро $AB$ и середину ребра $CD$, является плоскостью симметрии. Всего таких плоскостей 6 (по одной на каждое ребро).
Задача состоит в том, чтобы определить, сколько из этих 6 плоскостей симметрии проходят через одну конкретную, заранее выбранную вершину. Выберем для примера вершину $A$.
Плоскость симметрии будет проходить через вершину $A$, если она содержит ребро, начинающееся в этой вершине. Из вершины $A$ выходят три ребра: $AB, AC$ и $AD$.
1. Плоскость, проходящая через ребро $AB$ и середину ребра $CD$. Поскольку эта плоскость содержит ребро $AB$, она проходит через вершину $A$.
2. Плоскость, проходящая через ребро $AC$ и середину ребра $BD$. Поскольку эта плоскость содержит ребро $AC$, она проходит через вершину $A$.
3. Плоскость, проходящая через ребро $AD$ и середину ребра $BC$. Поскольку эта плоскость содержит ребро $AD$, она проходит через вершину $A$.
Оставшиеся три плоскости симметрии проходят через ребра $BC, BD$ и $CD$. Ни одно из этих ребер не содержит вершину $A$, поэтому и соответствующие им плоскости симметрии через вершину $A$ не проходят.
Таким образом, через данную вершину правильного тетраэдра проходят ровно 3 плоскости симметрии.
