Пусть дан прямоугольный параллелепипед, у которого боковое ребро (высота) равно $a$. Обозначим стороны его прямоугольного основания как $b$ и $c$. Объём такого параллелепипеда $V$ вычисляется по формуле $V = a \cdot b \cdot c$.
В условии сказано, что сечение проведено через две стороны разных оснований. Рассмотрим сечение, проходящее через сторону нижнего основания и параллельную ей сторону верхнего основания, которые не лежат в одной боковой грани. Например, пусть стороны основания $ABCD$ это $AB=CD=b$ и $AD=BC=c$. Тогда сечение можно провести через сторону $CD$ нижнего основания и сторону $A_1B_1$ верхнего основания. Получим сечение $A_1B_1CD$.
Данное сечение $A_1B_1CD$ является параллелограммом, так как стороны $A_1B_1$ и $CD$ параллельны и равны. Докажем, что это прямоугольник. Поскольку параллелепипед прямоугольный, его боковые ребра перпендикулярны основанию. Значит, ребро $AA_1 \perp AD$. Также, в основании лежит прямоугольник, поэтому $AB \perp AD$. Отсюда следует, что ребро $AD$ перпендикулярно плоскости боковой грани $ABB_1A_1$. Аналогично, ребро $CD$ перпендикулярно плоскости боковой грани $ADD_1A_1$.

Теперь мы можем найти объём параллелепипеда, зная все три его измерения: высоту $a$, и стороны основания $b = \sqrt{Q}$ и $c = \sqrt{Q - a^2}$. $V = a \cdot b \cdot c = a \cdot \sqrt{Q} \cdot \sqrt{Q - a^2}$.
Объединив выражения под корнем, получаем окончательный ответ: $V = a\sqrt{Q(Q - a^2)}$.
Ответ: $a\sqrt{Q(Q - a^2)}$.
