Для того чтобы данный рисунок мог служить изображением многогранника $ABCDA_1B_1C_1D_1$, он должен подчиняться законам проективной геометрии, которые определяют, как трехмерные объекты проецируются на двумерную плоскость. Рассматриваемый многогранник является шестигранником (гексаэдром) с гранями $ABCD$ (нижнее основание), $A_1B_1C_1D_1$ (верхнее основание) и четырьмя боковыми гранями $ABB_1A_1$, $BCC_1B_1$, $CDD_1C_1$, $DAA_1D_1$.
Рассмотрим плоскости, в которых лежат основания многогранника: плоскость $\pi$, содержащая грань $ABCD$, и плоскость $\pi_1$, содержащая грань $A_1B_1C_1D_1$. В трехмерном пространстве эти две плоскости либо параллельны, либо пересекаются по прямой.
Случай 1: Плоскости оснований параллельны ($\pi \parallel \pi_1$).
В этом случае при параллельном проецировании на плоскость рисунка прямые, являющиеся проекциями соответственных сторон оснований, должны быть параллельны. То есть должны выполняться условия: $AB \parallel A_1B_1$, $BC \parallel B_1C_1$, $CD \parallel C_1D_1$, $DA \parallel D_1A_1$. На рисунке 3.43 мы видим, что эти пары прямых не параллельны. Например, прямые $AD$ и $A_1D_1$ пересекаются, если их продолжить. Следовательно, данный рисунок не может быть изображением многогранника с параллельными основаниями.
Случай 2: Плоскости оснований пересекаются.
Пусть плоскости $\pi$ и $\pi_1$ пересекаются по некоторой прямой $l$. Рассмотрим прямую $AD$, которая лежит в плоскости $\pi$, и прямую $A_1D_1$, которая лежит в плоскости $\pi_1$. Если эти прямые пересекаются в пространстве, их точка пересечения $X$ должна лежать одновременно в обеих плоскостях $\pi$ и $\pi_1$, а значит, должна принадлежать прямой их пересечения $l$. То же самое верно для любой другой пары соответственных сторон оснований. Точка пересечения прямых $AB$ и $A_1B_1$ (обозначим ее $W$), точка пересечения прямых $BC$ и $B_1C_1$ (обозначим ее $Y$) и точка пересечения прямых $CD$ и $C_1D_1$ (обозначим ее $Z$) также должны принадлежать прямой $l$.
Таким образом, если рисунок является корректной проекцией такого многогранника, то точки пересечения всех четырех пар соответственных сторон оснований ($X, W, Y, Z$) должны лежать на одной прямой (которая является проекцией прямой $l$).
Проверим это условие на рисунке 3.43:
1. Прямые $AD$ и $A_1D_1$ пересекаются в точке $X$, расположенной слева от фигуры.
2. Прямые $BC$ и $B_1C_1$ пересекаются в точке $Y$, расположенной справа от фигуры.
3. Прямые $AB$ и $A_1B_1$ пересекаются в точке $W$, расположенной заметно выше и левее фигуры.
4. Прямые $CD$ и $C_1D_1$ пересекаются в точке $Z$, расположенной заметно выше и правее фигуры.
Очевидно, что эти четыре точки $X, Y, W, Z$ не лежат на одной прямой. Например, точки $X$ и $Y$ определяют прямую, которая проходит значительно ниже точек $W$ и $Z$. Это означает, что нарушается фундаментальное свойство проекции пространственной фигуры. Следовательно, данный рисунок не может быть изображением никакого многогранника $ABCDA_1B_1C_1D_1$.
Ответ: Нет, не может.
