При параллельном проецировании окружность изображается в виде эллипса, а центр окружности $O$ — в виде центра эллипса $O_1$.
Прямоугольник, вписанный в окружность, обладает следующими свойствами:
- Его диагонали равны и являются диаметрами описанной окружности.
- Диагонали пересекаются в центре окружности и делятся этой точкой пополам.
Параллельное проецирование сохраняет параллельность прямых и отношение длин отрезков, лежащих на параллельных прямых. В частности, середина отрезка проецируется в середину его изображения.
Из этих свойств следует, что изображением прямоугольника $ABCD$, вписанного в окружность, будет параллелограмм $A_1B_1C_1D_1$, вписанный в эллипс. Диагонали этого параллелограмма ($A_1C_1$ и $B_1D_1$) будут пересекаться в центре эллипса $O_1$ и являться его диаметрами.
Любой параллелограмм, вписанный в эллипс, диагонали которого пересекаются в центре эллипса, является изображением некоторого прямоугольника, вписанного в исходную окружность. Поэтому для решения задачи достаточно построить любой такой параллелограмм.
Построение
- В эллипсе с центром $O_1$ проведем произвольный диаметр. Для этого выберем на эллипсе произвольную точку $A_1$ и, проведя отрезок $A_1O_1$, продлим его до пересечения с эллипсом в точке $C_1$. Отрезок $A_1C_1$ — первый диаметр.
- Проведем второй произвольный диаметр $B_1D_1$, не совпадающий с первым. Для этого выберем на эллипсе другую точку $B_1$ и аналогично построим диаметр $B_1D_1$, проходящий через центр $O_1$.
- Последовательно соединим отрезками точки $A_1$, $B_1$, $C_1$ и $D_1$.
Полученный четырехугольник $A_1B_1C_1D_1$ является параллелограммом, так как его диагонали $A_1C_1$ и $B_1D_1$ по построению пересекаются в точке $O_1$ и делятся ею пополам. Этот параллелограмм вписан в эллипс и является искомым изображением прямоугольника.
Ответ: Изображением прямоугольника, вписанного в окружность, является параллелограмм, вписанный в эллипс-изображение этой окружности, диагонали которого пересекаются в центре эллипса. Для построения нужно провести два произвольных диаметра эллипса ($A_1C_1$ и $B_1D_1$) и соединить их концы. Полученный параллелограмм $A_1B_1C_1D_1$ является искомым изображением.
