3. Какую роль продуценты и редуценты играют в поддержании круговорота биогенных элементов? Какова их взаимосвязь в этом процессе?

3. Продуценты (растения, водоросли) играют роль создателей органического вещества. Они поглощают из неживой природы (воздуха, воды, почвы) простые неорганические биогенные элементы (углерод, азот, фосфор и др.) и с помощью энергии света в процессе фотосинтеза превращают их в сложные органические соединения, входящие в состав их тел. Таким образом, они вводят биогенные элементы в живую часть экосистемы.
Редуценты (бактерии, грибы) выполняют противоположную функцию. Они разлагают мёртвые органические остатки продуцентов и других организмов. В процессе их жизнедеятельности сложные органические соединения распадаются до простых неорганических веществ, которые снова становятся доступными для продуцентов. Таким образом, редуценты возвращают биогенные элементы в неживую природу, замыкая круговорот.
Взаимосвязь между продуцентами и редуцентами является основой круговорота веществ. Редуценты поставляют продуцентам «строительный материал» (неорганические вещества) для синтеза органики. Продуценты, в свою очередь, после своей гибели предоставляют редуцентам органическое вещество для разложения. Без деятельности редуцентов запасы доступных биогенных элементов быстро бы иссякли, а без продуцентов не создавалось бы органическое вещество, необходимое для жизни в экосистеме. Их совместная деятельность обеспечивает непрерывный цикл превращения веществ.
