В 30-е гг. XX в. отечественный учёный Георгий Франциевич Гаузе проводил опыты, используя в качестве простой модели сукцессии планктонные сообщества. Он заносил в сосуды с сенным настоем по нескольку капель воды из природного водоёма. Организмы, содержащиеся в воде природного водоёма, стали активно размножаться, начался процесс развития очень неустойчивого сообщества, в котором последовательно доминировали разные виды. Сообщество становилось всё более разнообразным, но постепенно численность всех видов уменьшилась в связи с истощением сенного настоя. В общих чертах наблюдаемые в ходе опытов изменения совпадают с теми, которые происходят в природной сукцессии.
Вы можете воспроизвести эти опыты в лаборатории, немного усложнив их.
Например, возьмите четыре сосуда с сенным настоем и занесите в них по нескольку капель воды из природного водоёма. Пронаблюдайте за изменениями, происходящими в моделях сообществ в течение 4 недель. Через 7 дней добавьте в первый сосуд дистиллированной воды (вместо испарившейся), во второй — сенной настой, в третий и четвёртый — раствор, содержащий неорганические питательные вещества.
Ещё через 7 дней добавьте в первый и третий сосуды дистиллированной воды, во второй — сенной настой, в четвёртый — раствор, содержащий неорганические питательные вещества.
Через следующие 7 дней ещё раз добавьте в первый и третий сосуды дистиллированной воды, во второй — сенной настой, в четвёртый — раствор, содержащий неорганические питательные вещества.
Через месяц проанализируйте результаты опыта, сделайте выводы и обсудите результаты работы с вашими одноклассниками.
