Для сравнения десятичных дробей сначала сравнивают их целые части. Если целые части равны, то сравнивают дробные части поразрядно, слева направо (десятые, сотые, тысячные и т.д.), до первого несовпадающего разряда. Большим будет то число, у которого соответствующая цифра больше.
а) Сравним числа 50,001 и 50,01.
Целые части этих чисел равны: $50 = 50$.
Сравниваем дробные части поразрядно.
Цифры в разряде десятых равны: $0 = 0$.
Цифры в разряде сотых различаются: $0 < 1$.
Поскольку цифра в разряде сотых у первого числа меньше, то и само число меньше.
Следовательно, $50,001 < 50,01$.
Ответ: $50,001 < 50,01$.
б) Сравним числа 17,183 и 17,09.
Целые части равны: $17 = 17$.
Сравниваем дробные части поразрядно.
Цифры в разряде десятых различаются: $1 > 0$.
Поскольку цифра в разряде десятых у первого числа больше, то и само число больше.
Следовательно, $17,183 > 17,09$.

в) Сравним числа 29,5 и 29,53.
Целые части равны: $29 = 29$.
Чтобы сравнить дробные части, уравняем количество цифр после запятой, дописав к числу 29,5 справа ноль: $29,5 = 29,50$.
Теперь сравниваем числа 29,50 и 29,53.
Дробная часть 50 меньше, чем 53.
Следовательно, $29,5 < 29,53$.
Ответ: $29,5 < 29,53$.
г) Сравним числа 7 и 6,99.
Сравниваем целые части этих чисел.
Целая часть числа 7 равна 7. Целая часть числа 6,99 равна 6.

д) Сравним числа 0,89 и 1,5.

е) Сравним числа 0,00041 и 0,0005.
Целые части равны: $0 = 0$.
Сравниваем дробные части поразрядно.
Цифры в разрядах десятых, сотых и тысячных равны нулю у обоих чисел.
Цифры в разряде десятитысячных различаются: $4 < 5$.
