Коэффициент полезного действия (КПД) теплового двигателя определяется как отношение полезной работы $A_{полезная}$, совершенной двигателем, к количеству теплоты $Q_{затраченная}$, полученной от нагревателя (в данном случае, при сгорании топлива).
Формула для расчета КПД: $ \eta = \frac{A_{полезная}}{Q_{затраченная}} \times 100\% $
Полезная работа $A_{полезная}$ связана с мощностью $P$ и временем работы $t$ соотношением: $ A_{полезная} = P \times t $
Затраченное количество теплоты $Q_{затраченная}$ — это энергия, выделившаяся при сгорании бензина. Она вычисляется по формуле: $ Q_{затраченная} = q \times m $
Объединив формулы, получим итоговую формулу для расчета КПД: $ \eta = \frac{P \times t}{q \times m} \times 100\% $
