Чтобы определить условие, при котором собирающая линза создает расходящийся пучок лучей, воспользуемся формулой тонкой линзы. Эта формула связывает расстояние от предмета до линзы $d$, расстояние от линзы до изображения $f$ и фокусное расстояние линзы $F$.
Формула тонкой линзы имеет вид:
$\frac{1}{d} + \frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{F}$
Рассмотрим знаки величин в этой формуле согласно правилам знаков для линз:
- Линза является собирающей, поэтому ее фокусное расстояние считается положительным: $F > 0$.
- Предмет, от которого исходят лучи, является действительным, поэтому расстояние от него до линзы также положительное: $d > 0$.
- Расходящийся пучок лучей после прохождения через линзу означает, что лучи не пересекаются в действительной точке, а их продолжения пересекаются. Это соответствует формированию мнимого изображения. Для мнимого изображения расстояние $f$ по определению является отрицательным: $f < 0$.
Наша задача — найти условие для $d$, при котором $f$ будет отрицательным. Выразим $1/f$ из формулы тонкой линзы:
$\frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{F} - \frac{1}{d}$
Приведем правую часть к общему знаменателю:
$\frac{1}{f} = \frac{d - F}{d \cdot F}$
Чтобы величина $f$ была отрицательной ($f < 0$), необходимо, чтобы и величина $1/f$ была отрицательной. Следовательно, должно выполняться неравенство:
$\frac{d - F}{d \cdot F} < 0$
Так как $d > 0$ (действительный предмет) и $F > 0$ (собирающая линза), их произведение в знаменателе $d \cdot F$ всегда положительно.
Чтобы вся дробь была отрицательной при положительном знаменателе, необходимо, чтобы ее числитель был отрицательным:
$d - F < 0$
Из этого неравенства следует искомое условие:
$d < F$
Таким образом, собирающая линза формирует расходящийся пучок лучей (и, соответственно, мнимое изображение) от действительного предмета, если этот предмет расположен между главным фокусом и оптическим центром линзы. Этот принцип используется, например, в лупе.
Ответ: Собирающая стеклянная линза в воздухе даст расходящийся пучок лучей, если предмет будет расположен на расстоянии от линзы, меньшем её фокусного расстояния ($d < F$).
