По определению, смежные углы — это два угла, у которых одна сторона общая, а две другие являются продолжениями друг друга (лежат на одной прямой). Важнейшее свойство смежных углов заключается в том, что их сумма всегда равна $180^\circ$. Обозначим смежные углы как $\angle 1$ и $\angle 2$, тогда должно выполняться равенство: $\angle 1 + \angle 2 = 180^\circ$.
Вспомним определения типов углов: острый угол — это угол меньше $90^\circ$; прямой угол — это угол, равный $90^\circ$; тупой угол — это угол, который больше $90^\circ$, но меньше $180^\circ$. Проанализируем каждый случай, исходя из этих определений.
