Обозначим стороны треугольника $ABC$ как $AB$, $AC$ и $BC$. Точка $M$ лежит на стороне $BC$, следовательно, длина стороны $BC$ равна сумме длин отрезков $BM$ и $MC$, то есть $BC = BM + MC$.
Периметр любого треугольника равен сумме длин его сторон. Запишем выражения для периметров треугольников $ABC$, $AMC$ и $AMB$:
$P_{ABC} = AB + AC + BC = AB + AC + (BM + MC)$
$P_{AMC} = AC + MC + AM$
$P_{AMB} = AB + BM + AM$
Согласно условию задачи:
$P_{ABC} = 60$ см
$P_{AMC} = 36$ см
$P_{AMB} = 50$ см
Сложим периметры треугольников $AMC$ и $AMB$:
$P_{AMC} + P_{AMB} = (AC + MC + AM) + (AB + BM + AM)$
Сгруппируем слагаемые в полученном выражении:
$P_{AMC} + P_{AMB} = (AB + AC + BM + MC) + 2 \cdot AM$
Заметим, что выражение в скобках $(AB + AC + BM + MC)$ является периметром треугольника $ABC$. Таким образом, мы получаем следующее равенство:
$P_{AMC} + P_{AMB} = P_{ABC} + 2 \cdot AM$
Из этого равенства можно выразить искомую длину отрезка $AM$:
$2 \cdot AM = P_{AMC} + P_{AMB} - P_{ABC}$
