Ломаная линия — это геометрическая фигура, состоящая из последовательно соединенных отрезков. Незамкнутая ломаная из четырех звеньев имеет 5 вершин. Обозначим их, например, $A, B, C, D, E$. Тогда звеньями будут отрезки $AB, BC, CD, DE$.
Ломаная не имеет самопересечений, если ее несоседние звенья (например, $AB$ и $CD$, или $BC$ и $DE$) не имеют общих точек, кроме, возможно, вершин. Ниже представлен чертеж такой ломаной.
На чертеже изображена незамкнутая ломаная $ABCDE$ с четырьмя звеньями, у которой нет самопересечений. Начало в точке $A$, конец в точке $E$, и они не совпадают.
Ответ: пример ломаной без самопересечений представлен на чертеже выше.
2) имеющую самопересечения.
Ломаная имеет самопересечения, если хотя бы одна пара ее несоседних звеньев пересекается в точке, не являющейся их общей вершиной. Ниже приведен пример незамкнутой ломаной из четырех звеньев, которая имеет самопересечение.
На чертеже изображена незамкнутая ломаная $ABCDE$. Ее первое звено $AB$ пересекается с третьим звеном $CD$. Это и есть самопересечение. Начало ломаной (точка $A$) и ее конец (точка $E$) не совпадают, поэтому она является незамкнутой.
