В равнобедренном треугольнике две стороны равны. Эти равные стороны называются боковыми, а третья — основанием. Периметр треугольника равен сумме длин всех его сторон. По условию, одна из сторон равна 4 см, а периметр равен 14 см. Рассмотрим два возможных случая.
Случай 1: Известная сторона является боковой.
Если боковая сторона равна 4 см, то и другая боковая сторона равна 4 см. Найдем длину третьей стороны (основания), которую обозначим как c.
Периметр $P = 4 + 4 + c$.
По условию, $P = 14$ см, следовательно:
$14 = 8 + c$
$c = 14 - 8 = 6$ см.
Получаем треугольник со сторонами 4 см, 4 см и 6 см.
Проверим, выполняется ли для этого треугольника неравенство треугольника (сумма длин двух любых сторон должна быть больше третьей стороны):

Случай 2: Известная сторона является основанием.
Если основание равно 4 см, то две боковые стороны равны между собой. Обозначим длину боковой стороны как x.
Периметр $P = x + x + 4$.
По условию, $P = 14$ см, следовательно:
$14 = 2x + 4$
$2x = 14 - 4$
$2x = 10$
$x = 5$ см.
Получаем треугольник со сторонами 5 см, 5 см и 4 см.
Проверим неравенство треугольника:
$5 + 5 > 4 \implies 10 > 4$ (верно)
$5 + 4 > 5 \implies 9 > 5$ (верно)
Такой треугольник также существует. Две другие его стороны равны по 5 см.
Ответ: 5 см и 5 см.
