Функция вида $y = \frac{k}{x}$, где $k \neq 0$, называется обратной пропорциональностью. Расположение ее графика, который называется гиперболой, на координатной плоскости зависит от знака коэффициента $k$.
- Если коэффициент $k > 0$, то ветви гиперболы расположены в I и III координатных четвертях (где знаки координат $x$ и $y$ совпадают).
- Если коэффициент $k < 0$, то ветви гиперболы расположены во II и IV координатных четвертях (где знаки координат $x$ и $y$ противоположны).
$y = \frac{6}{x}$
В этой функции коэффициент $k=6$. Так как $k > 0$, график функции расположен в первой и третьей координатных четвертях.
Ответ: I и III четверти.
$y = -\frac{3}{x}$
В этой функции коэффициент $k=-3$. Так как $k < 0$, график функции расположен во второй и четвертой координатных четвертях.
