Для анализа процесса воспользуемся уравнением состояния идеального газа (уравнением Менделеева-Клапейрона):
$PV = \nu RT$
где $\text{P}$ – давление, $\text{V}$ – объем, $\text{T}$ – абсолютная температура, $\nu$ – количество вещества, $\text{R}$ – универсальная газовая постоянная.
Выразим из этого уравнения давление:
$P = \frac{\nu R T}{V} = \nu R \cdot \frac{1}{V/T}$
Для данной массы газа величины $\nu$ и $\text{R}$ постоянны. Следовательно, давление $\text{P}$ обратно пропорционально отношению $V/T$.
$P \sim \frac{1}{V/T}$
В координатах V-T отношение $V/T$ представляет собой тангенс угла наклона луча, проведенного из начала координат $(0,0)$ в точку, соответствующую текущему состоянию газа. Обозначим этот угол как $\alpha$, тогда $\tan\alpha = V/T$.
Таким образом, давление $\text{P}$ обратно пропорционально тангенсу угла наклона $\alpha$: чем больше угол наклона луча к оси T, тем меньше давление, и наоборот.
Найдем точки с наибольшим и наименьшим давлением:
- Наибольшему давлению ($P_{max}$) соответствует минимальное значение отношения $V/T$, то есть минимальный угол наклона луча, проведенного из начала координат. Геометрически это точка, в которой прямая, выходящая из начала координат, касается окружности снизу.

Рассмотрим, как меняется давление в ходе циклического процесса, который, судя по стрелкам, протекает по часовой стрелке.
1. Начнем с точки наибольшего давления (точка касания в нижней части окружности). При движении по окружности вправо и вверх (по правой дуге) угол наклона луча, проведенного из начала координат, монотонно возрастает до своего максимального значения. Следовательно, на этом участке давление **уменьшается**.
2. Достигнув точки наименьшего давления (точка касания в верхней части окружности), газ продолжает изменяться по циклу, двигаясь влево и вниз (по левой дуге). На этом участке угол наклона луча, проведенного из начала координат, монотонно убывает до своего минимального значения. Следовательно, на этом участке давление **увеличивается**.
Таким образом, в ходе процесса давление сначала уменьшается, достигает минимума, а затем увеличивается, возвращаясь к исходному максимуму.
Ответ: В ходе процесса давление сначала уменьшается (на правой дуге окружности при движении по часовой стрелке), а затем увеличивается (на левой дуге).
