6. Зависимость сопротивления полупроводника от его освещенности — это явление, называемое внутренним фотоэффектом или фотопроводимостью. Суть этого явления заключается в том, что при поглощении фотонов света полупроводником в нем генерируются дополнительные свободные носители заряда (пары «электрон-дырка»). Увеличение концентрации носителей заряда приводит к значительному уменьшению электрического сопротивления материала. Таким образом, чем интенсивнее падающий свет, тем ниже сопротивление полупроводника. Устройства, работа которых основана на этом принципе, называются фоторезисторами.
Это свойство находит широкое применение в различных областях техники и автоматики, где необходимо регистрировать изменение интенсивности света или его наличие.
Основные области применения:
• Системы автоматического управления освещением: Наиболее известный пример — автоматическое включение уличных фонарей с наступлением темноты и их выключение на рассвете. Аналогичные датчики света используются в автоматических ночниках и для управления освещением внутри зданий.
• Системы безопасности и сигнализации: Фоторезисторы применяются в охранных системах как датчики пересечения луча света (часто невидимого, инфракрасного). Когда объект прерывает луч, свет перестает попадать на фоторезистор, его сопротивление резко возрастает, что приводит к срабатыванию сигнала тревоги. • Бытовая и потребительская электроника: Для автоматической регулировки яркости дисплеев смартфонов, планшетов, ноутбуков и телевизоров в зависимости от освещения в помещении, что обеспечивает комфорт для глаз и экономит энергию.
• Датчики дыма: В оптических дымовых извещателях фоторезистор регистрирует свет, рассеянный частицами дыма, попавшими в измерительную камеру. Это изменение интенсивности света вызывает срабатывание пожарной сигнализации.
• Робототехника: В образовательной и промышленной робототехнике, например, в роботах, следующих по линии. Массив фоторезисторов определяет положение контрастной линии на поверхности по интенсивности отраженного от нее света.
