Для перехода необходимо разложить число на разряды, учитывая их значения. Для этого следует использовать стандартную систему счисления, в которой каждый разряд имеет вес, равный степени десяти. Например, рассмотрим свернутую форму записи числа 1328. В этом случае число можно разложить на разряды следующим образом: 1 тысяча (10³) 3 сотни (10²) 2 десятка (10¹) 8 единицы (10⁰).
