Для решения задачи примем весь объем работы за 1.
Пусть $x$ — это количество дней, за которое первый рабочий может выполнить всю работу самостоятельно, а $y$ — количество дней, за которое второй рабочий может выполнить всю работу самостоятельно.
Тогда производительность труда (часть работы, выполняемая за один день) первого рабочего составляет $\frac{1}{x}$, а второго — $\frac{1}{y}$.
Из первого условия известно, что, работая вместе, они выполнили всю работу за 2 дня. Их совместная производительность равна $(\frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{y})$. Составим первое уравнение на основе формулы "Работа = Производительность ? Время":
$(\frac{1}{x} + \frac{1}{y}) \cdot 2 = 1$
$\frac{2}{x} + \frac{2}{y} = 1$
Из второго условия известно, что если бы первый рабочий проработал 2 дня, а второй — 1 день, то было бы сделано $\frac{5}{6}$ всей работы. Составим второе уравнение:
$\frac{1}{x} \cdot 2 + \frac{1}{y} \cdot 1 = \frac{5}{6}$
$\frac{2}{x} + \frac{1}{y} = \frac{5}{6}$
Теперь у нас есть система из двух уравнений с двумя переменными:
$\begin{cases} \frac{2}{x} + \frac{2}{y} = 1 \\ \frac{2}{x} + \frac{1}{y} = \frac{5}{6} \end{cases}$
Для решения этой системы удобно вычесть второе уравнение из первого:

Из этого следует, что $y = 6$.
Теперь, зная значение $y$, подставим его в любое из исходных уравнений, чтобы найти $x$. Возьмем второе уравнение:
