Рычаг
Рычаг — простейшее механическое устройство, представляющее собой твёрдое тело (перекладину), которое вращается вокруг точки опоры. Стороны перекладины по бокам от точки опоры называют плечами рычага.
Рычаг используют для получения большего усилия на коротком плече с помощью меньшего усилия на длинном плече (или для получения большего перемещения на длинном плече с помощью меньшего перемещения на коротком плече). Сделав плечо рычага достаточно длинным, теоретически можно развить любое усилие.
Первые исследования свойств рычага приписывают Архимеду, который, по легенде, осознав значение своего открытия, воскликнул: «Дайте мне точку опоры, и я переверну Землю!»
Рычаг находится в равновесии, если разность моментов сил, приложенных к нему, равна нулю. Различают рычаги первого рода, в которых точка опоры располагается между точками приложения сил, и рычаги второго рода, в которых точки приложения сил располагаются по одну сторону от опоры.
Примеры рычагов: ножницы, пинцет, тачка, плоскогубцы, катапульта, чашечные весы.

В тексте дано определение рычага второго рода: это рычаг, у которого «точки приложения сил располагаются по одну сторону от опоры». В отличие от него, у рычага первого рода «точка опоры располагается между точками приложения сил».
Рассмотрим предложенные варианты:
1) Ножницы и 4) Плоскогубцы являются сдвоенными рычагами первого рода. У них точка опоры (винт или шарнир) находится между точками приложения силы (на рукоятках) и силой сопротивления (на лезвиях или губках).
3) Чашечные весы — это классический пример рычага первого рода, где точка опоры находится в центре, а силы (веса на чашах) приложены по разные стороны от неё.
2) Тачка является рычагом второго рода. Точкой опоры у тачки является ось колеса. Сила, которую прикладывает человек, направлена вверх на ручках. Сила тяжести груза (сила сопротивления) также направлена вниз и приложена к кузову тачки, который находится между колесом (опорой) и ручками (точкой приложения силы). Таким образом, точки приложения обеих сил находятся по одну сторону от точки опоры.
