Скорость корабля в той же системе отсчёта равна $\vec{v}$ и направлена навстречу движению станции. Найдите скорость станции с пристыковавшимся к ней кораблём.

$\text{M}$ – масса космической станции
$\vec{V}$ – скорость космической станции
$\text{m}$ – масса грузового корабля
$\vec{v}$ – скорость грузового корабля
Скорости $\vec{V}$ и $\vec{v}$ направлены навстречу друг другу.
Найти
$\vec{U}$ – скорость станции с пристыковавшимся кораблём.
Решение
Рассмотрим систему тел, состоящую из космической станции и грузового корабля. Согласно условию, двигатели выключены, и система находится вдали от небесных тел. Это означает, что внешние силы, действующие на систему, отсутствуют или их действие скомпенсировано. Такую систему можно считать замкнутой (изолированной).
Для замкнутой системы тел выполняется закон сохранения импульса: суммарный импульс системы до взаимодействия (в данном случае – стыковки) равен суммарному импульсу системы после взаимодействия.
Запишем закон сохранения импульса в векторной форме:
$\vec{P}_{до} = \vec{P}_{после}$
Импульс системы до стыковки равен векторной сумме импульсов станции и корабля:
$\vec{P}_{до} = M\vec{V} + m\vec{v}$
Стыковка является абсолютно неупругим ударом, после которого станция и корабль движутся как единое целое. Их общая масса равна $(M+m)$, а скорость становится равной некоторой общей скорости $\vec{U}$. Импульс системы после стыковки равен:
$\vec{P}_{после} = (M+m)\vec{U}$
Приравнивая выражения для импульса до и после взаимодействия, получаем:
$M\vec{V} + m\vec{v} = (M+m)\vec{U}$
Из этого уравнения выразим искомую скорость $\vec{U}$:
$\vec{U} = \frac{M\vec{V} + m\vec{v}}{M+m}$
Это выражение является решением задачи в общем векторном виде. Оно справедливо для любых направлений скоростей. Условие, что корабль движется навстречу станции, означает, что векторы $\vec{V}$ и $\vec{v}$ направлены в противоположные стороны (антинаправлены).
Ответ: $\vec{U} = \frac{M\vec{V} + m\vec{v}}{M+m}$
