Пусть $S$ - искомая площадь треугольника $ABC$. Обозначим длины сторон, прилежащих к углу $A$, как $AB = c$ и $AC = b$.
Высота $BD = h_1$ проведена из вершины $B$ к прямой, содержащей сторону $AC$. Следовательно, треугольник $ABD$ является прямоугольным с прямым углом при вершине $D$. Гипотенузой этого треугольника является сторона $AB = c$. Угол при вершине $A$ в этом треугольнике ($\angle DAB$) равен $\alpha$ (если $\angle A$ в $\triangle ABC$ острый) или $180^\circ - \alpha$ (если $\angle A$ тупой). Катет, противолежащий этому углу, - это высота $BD = h_1$.
Из определения синуса в прямоугольном треугольнике: $\sin(\angle DAB) = \frac{BD}{AB}$.
Так как $\sin(180^\circ - \alpha) = \sin \alpha$, в обоих случаях (для острого и тупого угла $A$) соотношение будет одинаковым:
$\sin \alpha = \frac{h_1}{c}$
Отсюда выразим сторону $c$:
$c = \frac{h_1}{\sin \alpha}$
Аналогично, высота $CE = h_2$ проведена из вершины $C$ к прямой, содержащей сторону $AB$. Треугольник $ACE$ является прямоугольным с прямым углом при вершине $E$. Гипотенуза - сторона $AC = b$. Катет, противолежащий углу при вершине $A$ ($\angle CAE$), - это высота $CE = h_2$.
$\sin(\angle CAE) = \frac{CE}{AC}$
Это приводит к соотношению:
$\sin \alpha = \frac{h_2}{b}$
Отсюда выразим сторону $b$:
$b = \frac{h_2}{\sin \alpha}$
Площадь треугольника $ABC$ вычисляется по формуле с использованием двух сторон и угла между ними:
$S = \frac{1}{2} b c \sin A = \frac{1}{2} b c \sin \alpha$.
Подставим в эту формулу найденные выражения для сторон $b$ и $c$:
$S = \frac{1}{2} \left( \frac{h_2}{\sin \alpha} \right) \left( \frac{h_1}{\sin \alpha} \right) \sin \alpha$.
После сокращения и упрощения получаем:
$S = \frac{1}{2} \frac{h_1 h_2}{\sin^2 \alpha} \sin \alpha = \frac{h_1 h_2}{2 \sin \alpha}$.
Ответ: $S = \frac{h_1 h_2}{2 \sin \alpha}$
