Для доказательства того, что треугольник с вершинами в точках A(2; 7), B(-1; 4) и C(1; 2) является прямоугольным, воспользуемся теоремой, обратной теореме Пифагора. Она гласит, что если квадрат длины одной стороны треугольника равен сумме квадратов длин двух других сторон, то такой треугольник является прямоугольным.
Сначала вычислим квадраты длин каждой из сторон треугольника ABC. Квадрат расстояния между двумя точками с координатами $(x_1, y_1)$ и $(x_2, y_2)$ находится по формуле: $d^2 = (x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2$.
1. Найдем квадрат длины стороны AB:
$AB^2 = (-1 - 2)^2 + (4 - 7)^2 = (-3)^2 + (-3)^2 = 9 + 9 = 18$.
2. Найдем квадрат длины стороны BC:
$BC^2 = (1 - (-1))^2 + (2 - 4)^2 = (1 + 1)^2 + (-2)^2 = 2^2 + (-2)^2 = 4 + 4 = 8$.
3. Найдем квадрат длины стороны AC:
$AC^2 = (1 - 2)^2 + (2 - 7)^2 = (-1)^2 + (-5)^2 = 1 + 25 = 26$.
Теперь проверим, выполняется ли для полученных длин сторон равенство $a^2 + b^2 = c^2$. Наибольший из полученных квадратов длин — это $AC^2 = 26$. Проверим, равна ли эта величина сумме двух других квадратов:
$AB^2 + BC^2 = 18 + 8 = 26$.
Так как $AB^2 + BC^2 = 26$ и $AC^2 = 26$, то равенство $AB^2 + BC^2 = AC^2$ выполняется.
Следовательно, по теореме, обратной теореме Пифагора, треугольник ABC является прямоугольным. Прямой угол — это угол B, так как он лежит напротив самой длинной стороны (гипотенузы) AC.
Ответ: Треугольник с заданными вершинами является прямоугольным, что и требовалось доказать.
