Сумма трех векторов $\vec{a}$, $\vec{b}$ и $\vec{c}$ может быть нулевым вектором ($\vec{a} + \vec{b} + \vec{c} = \vec{0}$), если эти векторы, отложенные последовательно друг от друга, образуют замкнутую фигуру (треугольник). Это возможно тогда и только тогда, когда их модули (длины) удовлетворяют неравенству треугольника: длина любой стороны треугольника должна быть меньше или равна сумме длин двух других сторон. Для проверки достаточно сравнить самый большой модуль с суммой двух других: самый большой модуль должен быть меньше или равен сумме двух других.

Наибольший модуль равен 5. Сравним его с суммой двух других модулей: $2 + 3 = 5$.

Поскольку $6 \le 4 + 3$ (в данном случае $6 < 7$), условие выполняется. Векторы с такими модулями могут образовать треугольник, следовательно, их сумма может быть нулевым вектором.

3) 8; 9; 18?
Наибольший модуль равен 18. Сравним его с суммой двух других модулей: $8 + 9 = 17$.
Поскольку $18 > 17$, неравенство треугольника не выполняется. Из отрезков такой длины нельзя составить треугольник. Следовательно, сумма трех векторов с такими модулями не может быть нулевым вектором.
Это также следует из неравенства для модулей векторов: $|\vec{u} + \vec{v}| \le |\vec{u}| + |\vec{v}|$. Если бы сумма трех векторов $\vec{v_1}, \vec{v_2}, \vec{v_3}$ с данными модулями была равна нулю, то $\vec{v_3} = -(\vec{v_1} + \vec{v_2})$, и тогда $|\vec{v_3}| = |\vec{v_1} + \vec{v_2}|$.
