Пусть $L$ - длина всей окружности, $L = 2\pi R$. Концы хорды делят окружность на две дуги, длины которых, $L_1$ и $L_2$, находятся в соотношении $L_1 : L_2 = 2 : 1$.
Сумма длин этих дуг равна длине всей окружности:
$L_1 + L_2 = L = 2\pi R$
Из соотношения $L_1 = 2L_2$ получаем:
$2L_2 + L_2 = 2\pi R$
$3L_2 = 2\pi R$
$L_2 = \frac{2\pi R}{3}$
Хорда стягивает меньшую из двух дуг, $L_2$. Центральный угол $\alpha$, опирающийся на эту дугу, пропорционален ее длине. Величину этого угла можно найти из пропорции:
$\frac{\alpha}{360^\circ} = \frac{L_2}{L} = \frac{\frac{2\pi R}{3}}{2\pi R} = \frac{1}{3}$
Отсюда $\alpha = \frac{1}{3} \cdot 360^\circ = 120^\circ$.
Теперь рассмотрим равнобедренный треугольник, образованный двумя радиусами, проведенными к концам хорды, и самой хордой. Две стороны этого треугольника равны радиусу $R$, а угол между ними — это центральный угол $\alpha = 120^\circ$. Длину хорды, обозначим её $l$, можно найти по теореме косинусов:
$l^2 = R^2 + R^2 - 2 \cdot R \cdot R \cdot \cos(\alpha)$
$l^2 = 2R^2 - 2R^2 \cos(120^\circ)$
Зная, что $\cos(120^\circ) = -1/2$, подставляем это значение в формулу:
$l^2 = 2R^2 - 2R^2 \left(-\frac{1}{2}\right)$
$l^2 = 2R^2 + R^2$
$l^2 = 3R^2$
Извлекая квадратный корень, находим длину хорды (длина не может быть отрицательной):
$l = \sqrt{3R^2} = R\sqrt{3}$
Ответ: $R\sqrt{3}$
