Поскольку точки $A$, $B$, $C$ и $K$ по условию лежат на одной окружности, то четырехугольник $ABCK$ является вписанным в эту окружность.
В трапеции $ABCD$ основания $BC$ и $AD$ параллельны, то есть $BC \parallel AD$. Так как точка $K$ принадлежит прямой $AD$, то прямая $AK$ совпадает с прямой $AD$, и, следовательно, $BC \parallel AK$.
Таким образом, четырехугольник $ABCK$ является трапецией, у которой основания $BC$ и $AK$ параллельны. Трапеция, вписанная в окружность, является равнобедренной. Отсюда следует, что $ABCK$ — равнобедренная трапеция.
Одним из свойств равнобедренной трапеции является равенство ее диагоналей. Значит, $BK = AC$. Для решения задачи достаточно найти длину диагонали $AC$.
Рассмотрим вписанные в окружность углы. Углы $\angle AKB$ и $\angle ACB$ опираются на одну и ту же дугу $AB$. По свойству вписанных углов, они равны. Из условия известно, что $\angle AKB = 60^{\circ}$, следовательно, $\angle ACB$ также равен $60^{\circ}$.
Рассмотрим параллельные прямые $BC$ и $AD$ и секущую $AC$. Углы $\angle CAD$ и $\angle ACB$ являются накрест лежащими, а значит, они равны. Таким образом, $\angle CAD = \angle ACB = 60^{\circ}$.
Теперь рассмотрим треугольник $ACD$. Нам известны длины двух его сторон $AD = 8$ см и $CD = 4\sqrt{3}$ см, а также угол $\angle CAD = 60^{\circ}$, который противолежит стороне $CD$. Для нахождения длины стороны $AC$ воспользуемся теоремой косинусов.
Теорема косинусов для треугольника $ACD$ записывается так:
$CD^2 = AC^2 + AD^2 - 2 \cdot AC \cdot AD \cdot \cos(\angle CAD)$
Подставим известные значения в это уравнение:
$(4\sqrt{3})^2 = AC^2 + 8^2 - 2 \cdot AC \cdot 8 \cdot \cos(60^{\circ})$
Выполним вычисления:
$48 = AC^2 + 64 - 16 \cdot AC \cdot \frac{1}{2}$
$48 = AC^2 + 64 - 8 \cdot AC$
Перенесем все члены уравнения в одну часть, чтобы получить квадратное уравнение относительно $AC$:
