О-24. Известно, что искусственный спутник Земли можно запустить так, чтобы он неподвижно висел над одним и тем же географическим пунктом Земли. Можно ли запустить спутник так, чтобы он казался неподвижным относительно звезд?
Решение. В инерциальной системе отсчета, связанной со звездами, угловая скорость объекта, кажущегося неподвижным относительно звезд, равна нулю. Поэтому этот объект не может иметь центростремительное ускорение и, следовательно, не может вращаться около какой-либо точки пространства, в том числе и вокруг Земли. Следовательно, такое тело не может быть спутником Земли.

Нет, запустить искусственный спутник Земли так, чтобы он казался неподвижным относительно звёзд, невозможно.
Рассмотрим этот вопрос с точки зрения фундаментальных законов механики.
Систему отсчёта, связанную с далёкими звёздами, с высокой точностью можно считать инерциальной. Если спутник неподвижен относительно звёзд, это означает, что в данной инерциальной системе отсчёта его скорость равна нулю ($v=0$).
Спутник — это тело, которое движется по орбите вокруг центрального тела (в данном случае Земли) под действием силы гравитационного притяжения. Для того чтобы тело оставалось на орбите, а не падало на Землю, оно должно обладать определённой скоростью. Именно эта скорость заставляет тело двигаться по криволинейной траектории. Сила тяготения, действующая со стороны Земли, в этом случае играет роль центростремительной силы и постоянно изменяет направление вектора скорости, но не даёт телу упасть.
Для устойчивой круговой орбиты радиусом $R$ должно выполняться равенство между силой всемирного тяготения и произведением массы спутника $m$ на его центростремительное ускорение $a_ц$:
$F_{тяг} = m a_ц$
Сила тяготения равна $G \frac{M m}{R^2}$, а центростремительное ускорение — $a_ц = \frac{v^2}{R}$, где $M$ — масса Земли, а $v$ — орбитальная скорость спутника. Таким образом, условие движения по орбите имеет вид:
$G \frac{M m}{R^2} = m \frac{v^2}{R}$
Из этого уравнения следует, что для нахождения на орбите спутник должен иметь строго определённую, не равную нулю, скорость:
$v = \sqrt{\frac{G M}{R}}$
Если же предположить, что спутник неподвижен относительно звёзд, то его скорость $v=0$. В этом случае правая часть уравнения ($m \frac{v^2}{R}$) обращается в ноль. Однако левая часть — сила тяготения $G \frac{M m}{R^2}$ — остаётся ненулевой. Это означает, что на тело действует неуравновешенная сила, направленная к центру Земли. Под действием этой силы тело начнёт ускоряться и двигаться прямо к Земле, то есть падать. Такое тело не находится на орбите и не является спутником.
Ответ: Нельзя запустить спутник так, чтобы он казался неподвижным относительно звёзд. Понятие "спутник" подразумевает движение по орбите, которое невозможно при нулевой скорости в инерциальной системе отсчёта, связанной со звёздами. Тело с нулевой скоростью будет просто падать на Землю под действием её гравитационного притяжения.
