Плотность воды, $\rho \approx 1000 \text{ кг/м}^3$
Ускорение свободного падения, $g \approx 9,8 \text{ м/с}^2$
Найти:
$h_{max}$
Решение:
Вода не будет вытекать из отверстия до тех пор, пока гидростатическое давление столба воды $P_{гидр}$ не превысит избыточное давление $P_{пов}$, создаваемое силами поверхностного натяжения. Максимальная высота столба воды $h_{max}$ достигается в тот момент, когда эти два давления становятся равными.
Гидростатическое давление столба жидкости высотой $h$ определяется по формуле:
$P_{гидр} = \rho g h$
Избыточное давление под искривленной поверхностью жидкости (давление Лапласа) для сферической поверхности определяется по формуле:
$P_{пов} = \frac{2\sigma}{R}$
где $\sigma$ — коэффициент поверхностного натяжения, а $R$ — радиус кривизны поверхности.
В предельном состоянии, когда вода готова начать вытекать, мениск воды в отверстии из-за смачивания принимает форму, близкую к полусфере. В этом случае радиус кривизны $R$ поверхности равен радиусу самого отверстия $r$.
Радиус отверстия: $r = d/2$.
Следовательно, давление поверхностного натяжения достигает максимального значения:
$P_{пов} = \frac{2\sigma}{r} = \frac{2\sigma}{d/2} = \frac{4\sigma}{d}$
Приравниваем гидростатическое давление и давление Лапласа для нахождения максимальной высоты $h_{max}$:
$\rho g h_{max} = \frac{4\sigma}{d}$
Выразим из этой формулы искомую высоту $h_{max}$:
$h_{max} = \frac{4\sigma}{\rho g d}$
Подставим числовые значения в систему СИ и выполним вычисления:
