Рассмотрим плоскость треугольника $ABC$. Прямая $A_1C_1$ является линией пересечения плоскости $\alpha$ и плоскости треугольника $ABC$. Поскольку по условию плоскость $\alpha$ параллельна прямой $AC$ (которая лежит в плоскости $ABC$), то по свойству параллельности прямой и плоскости, линия их пересечения $A_1C_1$ будет параллельна прямой $AC$.
Таким образом, $A_1C_1 \parallel AC$.
Рассмотрим треугольники $\triangle A_1BC_1$ и $\triangle ABC$.Поскольку $A_1C_1 \parallel AC$, эти треугольники подобны по двум углам:
1. $\angle B$ — общий.
2. $\angle BA_1C_1 = \angle BAC$ как соответственные углы при параллельных прямых $A_1C_1$, $AC$ и секущей $AB$.
Из подобия треугольников следует, что отношение их соответствующих сторон равно (коэффициент подобия $k$):
$k = \frac{A_1B}{AB} = \frac{C_1B}{CB} = \frac{A_1C_1}{AC}$
Из условия известно, что $AA_1 : A_1B = 7 : 5$. Пусть $A_1B = 5x$ и $AA_1 = 7x$ для некоторого коэффициента пропорциональности $x$. Тогда длина всей стороны $AB$ равна сумме её частей:
$AB = AA_1 + A_1B = 7x + 5x = 12x$.
Найдем коэффициент подобия, который равен отношению сторон $A_1B$ и $AB$:
$k = \frac{A_1B}{AB} = \frac{5x}{12x} = \frac{5}{12}$
Теперь, используя пропорцию и известную длину $AC = 18$ см, найдем длину $A_1C_1$:
$\frac{A_1C_1}{AC} = k$
$\frac{A_1C_1}{18} = \frac{5}{12}$
$A_1C_1 = 18 \cdot \frac{5}{12} = \frac{90}{12} = \frac{15}{2} = 7.5$ см.
Ответ: 7,5 см.
