По определению, два отрезка называются параллельными, если они лежат на параллельных прямых. Две прямые на плоскости называются параллельными, если они не пересекаются.
Рассмотрим различные случаи расположения двух отрезков, не имеющих общих точек:
1. Отрезки лежат на параллельных прямых. В этом случае отрезки не имеют общих точек и, согласно определению, являются параллельными.
2. Отрезки лежат на одной прямой, но не пересекаются. В этом случае они также не имеют общих точек. Прямая, на которой они лежат, параллельна самой себе, поэтому такие отрезки также можно считать параллельными.
3. Отрезки лежат на пересекающихся прямых. Возможно такое расположение, при котором сами отрезки не будут иметь общих точек, несмотря на то что прямые, которым они принадлежат, пересекаются.
Например, пусть прямые $a$ и $b$ пересекаются в точке $O$. Возьмем на прямой $a$ отрезок $AB$, не содержащий точку $O$, и на прямой $b$ отрезок $CD$, также не содержащий точку $O$. Отрезки $AB$ и $CD$ не будут иметь общих точек. Однако, поскольку они лежат на пересекающихся прямых $a$ и $b$, они не являются параллельными.
Таким образом, условие отсутствия общих точек у двух отрезков не является достаточным, чтобы утверждать, что они параллельны.
Ответ: Нет, не обязательно. Два отрезка могут не иметь общих точек, но при этом лежать на пересекающихся прямых, и в этом случае они не будут параллельными.
