Для решения этой задачи необходимо рассмотреть отрезки, лежащие на одной прямой. Хотя рисунок 3.5 не приведён, из условия $AB = CD$ и вопроса о нахождении $BD$ при известном $AC$, можно сделать вывод, что точки на прямой расположены последовательно: A, B, C, D.
Длина отрезка AC складывается из длин отрезков AB и BC. Это можно записать в виде формулы: $AC = AB + BC$.
Аналогично, длина отрезка BD складывается из длин отрезков BC и CD. Формула для длины BD будет такой: $BD = BC + CD$.
По условию задачи нам дано, что $AB = CD$. Давайте воспользуемся этим равенством и подставим в формулу для BD вместо отрезка CD равный ему отрезок AB: $BD = BC + AB$.
Теперь сравним выражения для длин отрезков AC и BD: $AC = AB + BC$ $BD = BC + AB$ Правые части этих равенств идентичны, так как от перемены мест слагаемых сумма не меняется ($AB + BC = BC + AB$). Следовательно, и левые части равенств тоже равны: $AC = BD$.
В условии сказано, что $AC = 6$ см. Так как мы доказали, что $BD = AC$, то длина отрезка BD также равна 6 см.
Ответ: 6 см.
