1. Что называется длиной отрезка?
Длиной отрезка называется положительная величина, которая определяется путем сравнения этого отрезка с другим отрезком, принятым за единицу измерения (эталон). Длина показывает, сколько раз единичный отрезок и его части укладываются в измеряемом отрезке. Например, если за единицу измерения взят сантиметр, то длина отрезка покажет, сколько сантиметров в нем содержится.
Ответ: Длина отрезка — это положительное число, показывающее, во сколько раз данный отрезок больше или меньше единичного отрезка (единицы измерения).
2. Как обозначается длина отрезка?
Длина отрезка, концами которого являются точки $A$ и $B$, обозначается двумя заглавными буквами, стоящими рядом: $AB$. Такое же обозначение используется и для самого отрезка, поэтому смысл (отрезок или его длина) определяется из контекста. Например, в выражении $AB = 5$ см речь идет именно о длине. 5. Какие свойства выполняются для длин отрезков?
Для длин отрезков (как и для расстояний между точками) справедливы следующие основные свойства:
- Неотрицательность. Длина любого отрезка является неотрицательным числом ($AB \ge 0$). Длина равна нулю только в том случае, если отрезок вырождается в точку, то есть его концы совпадают.
- Сравнение. Равные отрезки имеют равные длины. И обратно: отрезки, имеющие равные длины, равны. Если $AB$ и $CD$ — равные отрезки, то их длины $AB = CD$.
- Сложение (аддитивность). Если точка $C$ является внутренней точкой отрезка $AB$ (лежит между точками $A$ и $B$), то длина всего отрезка $AB$ равна сумме длин его частей, отрезков $AC$ и $CB$. Математически это записывается так: $AB = AC + CB$.
Ответ: Основные свойства длин отрезков: длина всегда неотрицательна; равные отрезки имеют равные длины; длина целого отрезка равна сумме длин его частей, если он разделен точкой.
