Пусть один из катетов, о котором говорится в условии задачи, равен $x$ м.
Согласно условию, этот катет на 1 м больше другого. Следовательно, длина другого катета составляет $(x - 1)$ м.
Также этот катет на 1 м меньше гипотенузы. Следовательно, длина гипотенузы составляет $(x + 1)$ м.
Таким образом, мы имеем прямоугольный треугольник со сторонами $x-1$, $x$ и $x+1$. Поскольку длина любой стороны треугольника должна быть положительным числом, должно выполняться условие $x - 1 > 0$, откуда $x > 1$.
Согласно теореме Пифагора, сумма квадратов катетов равна квадрату гипотенузы. Составим уравнение на основе этого соотношения:
$(x - 1)^2 + x^2 = (x + 1)^2$
Теперь решим это уравнение. Раскроем скобки, используя формулы сокращенного умножения:

Решим полученное неполное квадратное уравнение, вынеся общий множитель $x$ за скобки:
$x(x - 4) = 0$
Уравнение имеет два корня: $x_1 = 0$ и $x_2 = 4$.
Корень $x_1 = 0$ не удовлетворяет условию $x > 1$, так как при этом значении один из катетов будет иметь отрицательную длину $(0 - 1 = -1)$, что невозможно.
Следовательно, единственным верным решением является $x = 4$.
Теперь найдем длины всех сторон треугольника, подставив значение $x = 4$:
Первый катет: $x = 4$ м.
Второй катет: $x - 1 = 4 - 1 = 3$ м.
Гипотенуза: $x + 1 = 4 + 1 = 5$ м.
Ответ: стороны треугольника равны 3 м, 4 м и 5 м.
