7. Глубина водоёма кажется меньше, чем на самом деле, из-за явления преломления света. Лучи света, идущие от дна водоёма (оптически более плотная среда — вода) к глазу наблюдателя (оптически менее плотная среда — воздух), на границе раздела вода-воздух изменяют своё направление. Согласно закону преломления, при переходе из более плотной среды в менее плотную, угол преломления становится больше угла падения, то есть луч отклоняется от перпендикуляра к границе раздела сред. Человеческий мозг не учитывает преломление и воспринимает лучи света как распространяющиеся по прямой. Поэтому он строит мнимое изображение дна в точке, где пересекаются воображаемые продолжения преломлённых лучей. Эта точка пересечения находится выше, чем реальное положение дна, из-за чего глубина водоёма и кажется меньше.
Для расчёта кажущейся глубины воспользуемся следующими данными.
Дано:
Действительная глубина реки, $h = 2$ м
Показатель преломления воды, $n_1 \approx 1.33$
Показатель преломления воздуха, $n_2 \approx 1.00$
Найти:
Кажущаяся глубина реки, $h'$ — ?
Решение:
Связь между действительной глубиной $\text{h}$ и кажущейся глубиной $h'$ при наблюдении почти перпендикулярно поверхности из среды с меньшим показателем преломления (воздух) в среду с большим показателем преломления (вода) выражается формулой:
$ \frac{h'}{h} = \frac{n_2}{n_1} $
где $n_1$ — абсолютный показатель преломления воды, а $n_2$ — абсолютный показатель преломления воздуха.
Выразим из этой формулы кажущуюся глубину $h'$:
$ h' = h \cdot \frac{n_2}{n_1} $
Подставим числовые значения:
$ h' = 2 \text{ м} \cdot \frac{1.00}{1.33} \approx 1.5037 \text{ м} $
Округлим результат до сотых:
$ h' \approx 1.50 \text{ м} $
Ответ: кажущаяся глубина реки будет равна примерно 1.50 м.
