ИЗУЧЕНИЕ ЭЛЕКТРОМАГНИТА
Цель работы: изучить устройство и действие электромагнита.
Оборудование: источник питания, электромагнит, реостат, ключ, компас, соединительные провода.
Указания к выполнению работы
1. Соберите электрическую цепь, соединив последовательно источник питания, катушку электромагнита, реостат и ключ. Замкните цепь и с помощью компаса определите магнитные полюсы катушки.
2. Отодвиньте компас вдоль оси катушки на такое расстояние, на котором действие магнитного поля катушки на стрелку компаса незначительно. Вставьте в катушку железный сердечник и наблюдайте действие электромагнита на магнитную стрелку. Сделайте вывод.
3. Измените с помощью реостата силу тока в обмотке электромагнита. Наблюдайте, как изменилось действие электромагнита на магнитную стрелку.
4. Сделайте вывод, ответив на вопросы:
1) Из чего состоит электромагнит?
2) Как электромагнит действует на магнитную стрелку?
3) Как влияет железный сердечник на действие электромагнита?
4) Как влияет сила тока в катушке электромагнита на действие электромагнита?

1) Из чего состоит электромагнит?
Электромагнит — это устройство, которое создаёт магнитное поле при прохождении через него электрического тока. Он состоит из катушки (обмотки) с изолированным проводом, намотанным на каркас, и, как правило, ферромагнитного сердечника (например, из мягкой стали), который вставляется внутрь катушки для значительного усиления магнитного поля. Для работы электромагнита также необходим источник электрического тока.
Ответ: Электромагнит состоит из катушки с обмоткой, ферромагнитного сердечника и источника тока.
2) Как электромагнит действует на магнитную стрелку?
Когда по обмотке электромагнита протекает электрический ток, вокруг неё создаётся магнитное поле. Это поле, подобно полю постоянного магнита, имеет северный и южный полюсы. Магнитная стрелка, являясь маленьким постоянным магнитом, при помещении в это поле испытывает на себе действие магнитных сил. Эти силы поворачивают стрелку, заставляя её расположиться вдоль силовых линий магнитного поля электромагнита. Северный полюс стрелки будет указывать на южный полюс электромагнита, и наоборот.
Ответ: Магнитное поле электромагнита оказывает ориентирующее действие на магнитную стрелку, заставляя её выстраиваться вдоль своих силовых линий.
3) Как влияет железный сердечник на действие электромагнита?
Железный сердечник, помещённый внутрь катушки, является ферромагнетиком. Под действием магнитного поля, созданного током в катушке, сердечник сильно намагничивается. Собственное магнитное поле сердечника складывается с полем катушки, что приводит к многократному усилению общего магнитного поля. Таким образом, наличие железного сердечника значительно усиливает магнитное действие электромагнита.
Ответ: Железный сердечник значительно усиливает магнитное действие электромагнита.
4) Как влияет сила тока в катушке электромагнита на действие электромагнита?
Сила магнитного поля электромагнита прямо пропорциональна силе тока, протекающего в его обмотке. С увеличением силы тока магнитное поле усиливается, а с уменьшением — ослабевает. Величина магнитной индукции $\text{B}$ для соленоида (катушки) определяется формулой $B = \mu \mu_0 n I$, где $\text{I}$ — сила тока. Следовательно, чем больше сила тока в катушке, тем сильнее будет действие электромагнита на магнитную стрелку.
Ответ: При увеличении силы тока в катушке магнитное действие электромагнита усиливается, а при уменьшении — ослабевает.
