Чтобы проверить, является ли число $2 - 3\sqrt{3}$ корнем уравнения $x^2 - 4x - 23 = 0$, необходимо подставить это число вместо $x$ в уравнение. Если в результате вычислений левая часть уравнения окажется равной нулю, то число является корнем.
Подставим $x = 2 - 3\sqrt{3}$ в левую часть уравнения:
$(2 - 3\sqrt{3})^2 - 4(2 - 3\sqrt{3}) - 23$
Выполним вычисления по шагам.
1. Возведем в квадрат первое слагаемое, используя формулу квадрата разности $(a-b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2$:
$(2 - 3\sqrt{3})^2 = 2^2 - 2 \cdot 2 \cdot 3\sqrt{3} + (3\sqrt{3})^2 = 4 - 12\sqrt{3} + 9 \cdot 3 = 4 - 12\sqrt{3} + 27 = 31 - 12\sqrt{3}$.
2. Раскроем скобки во втором слагаемом:
$-4(2 - 3\sqrt{3}) = -8 + 12\sqrt{3}$.
3. Теперь соберем все полученные значения в исходное выражение и упростим его:
$(31 - 12\sqrt{3}) + (-8 + 12\sqrt{3}) - 23$
Сгруппируем подобные члены:
$(31 - 8 - 23) + (-12\sqrt{3} + 12\sqrt{3})$
Вычислим каждую группу:
$0 + 0 = 0$.
Поскольку в результате подстановки мы получили верное равенство $0 = 0$, число $2 - 3\sqrt{3}$ является корнем уравнения $x^2 - 4x - 23 = 0$.
