8. Можно ли увидеть кольца Сатурна с поверхности Сатурна?
Решение. №8 (с. 209)
Да, увидеть кольца с условной «поверхности» Сатурна (то есть из верхних слоев его атмосферы) было бы возможно, и это было бы поистине захватывающее зрелище. Однако то, как именно они бы выглядели, кардинально зависит от широты, на которой находится наблюдатель.
Стоит сразу отметить, что Сатурн является газовым гигантом и не имеет твёрдой поверхности. Наблюдатель находился бы, скорее всего, на уровне облаков, где давление составляет около 1 атмосферы.
На экваторе
Кольца Сатурна вращаются в той же плоскости, что и экватор планеты. Если бы наблюдатель находился точно на экваторе, он видел бы кольца «с ребра». Учитывая, что кольца имеют колоссальный диаметр (сотни тысяч километров), но при этом чрезвычайно тонкие (в среднем около 10-20 метров), для наблюдателя они бы выглядели как невероятно тонкая, ослепительно яркая линия, разрезающая небо пополам от одного горизонта до другого. Эта линия была бы самым ярким объектом в небе после Солнца и была бы видна постоянно, и днём, и ночью (когда её освещает Солнце).
В средних и высоких широтах
По мере смещения от экватора к полюсам угол обзора менялся бы. Наблюдатель уже смотрел бы на кольца не сбоку, а «снизу». С этих позиций кольца предстали бы в виде грандиозной, широкой светящейся арки, перекинувшейся через весь небосвод. Эта арка была бы видна постоянно и занимала бы значительную часть неба.
Кроме того, кольца оказывали бы существенное влияние на освещённость:
- Днём они отбрасывали бы гигантскую тень на поверхность планеты, создавая в этих регионах вечные сумерки. Ширина и положение этой тени менялись бы в зависимости от времени года на Сатурне.
- Ночью освещённая Солнцем часть колец сама становилась бы мощным источником света, освещая ночную сторону планеты явлением, известным как «сияние колец» (ringshine). Освещённость от колец была бы во много раз сильнее, чем от полной Луны на Земле.
Единственным препятствием для наблюдения могла бы стать плотная облачность и дымка в атмосфере самого Сатурна, которые могли бы частично или полностью скрывать вид на это небесное чудо.
Ответ: Да, кольца Сатурна были бы видны с его условной поверхности (верхних слоёв атмосферы). Их вид зависел бы от широты: на экваторе они выглядели бы как тончайшая яркая линия, пересекающая всё небо, а в средних и высоких широтах — как гигантская светящаяся арка, доминирующая на небосводе.
