а) Для того чтобы функция была непрерывной в каждой точке числовой прямой, она должна быть определена для всех действительных чисел и не иметь разрывов. Простейшими примерами таких функций являются многочлены. Например, линейная функция $y=kx+b$ или квадратичная функция $y=ax^2+bx+c$. Также подходят тригонометрические функции $y=\sin(x)$ и $y=\cos(x)$, показательная функция $y=a^x, a>0, a \neq 1$.
Приведем в качестве примера простую степенную функцию $f(x) = x^2$. Эта функция является многочленом, а все многочлены непрерывны на всей числовой прямой $(-\infty, +\infty)$. Ее график — парабола, которую можно нарисовать, не отрывая карандаша от бумаги.
Ответ: $f(x) = x^2$.
б) Чтобы функция была непрерывна во всех точках, кроме $x=0$, необходимо, чтобы в точке $x=0$ у функции был разрыв. Самый простой способ создать такой разрыв — это использовать дробно-рациональную функцию, знаменатель которой обращается в ноль при $x=0$.
Рассмотрим функцию $f(x) = \frac{1}{x}$. Эта функция определена и непрерывна для всех действительных чисел $x$, кроме $x=0$. В точке $x=0$ функция не определена, и здесь она имеет разрыв второго рода (бесконечный разрыв), так как $\lim_{x \to 0^+} \frac{1}{x} = +\infty$ и $\lim_{x \to 0^-} \frac{1}{x} = -\infty$. График этой функции — гипербола, состоящая из двух ветвей, которые разделены вертикальной асимптотой $x=0$.
Ответ: $f(x) = \frac{1}{x}$.
в) По аналогии с предыдущим пунктом, для создания разрывов в точках $x=0$ и $x=1$, нужно построить функцию, знаменатель которой обращается в ноль в этих точках. Для этого знаменатель должен содержать множители $x$ и $(x-1)$.
Рассмотрим функцию $f(x) = \frac{1}{x(x-1)}$. Это дробно-рациональная функция. Она непрерывна во всех точках, где ее знаменатель не равен нулю. Знаменатель $x(x-1)$ равен нулю при $x=0$ и $x=1$. В этих точках функция не определена и имеет разрывы второго рода (вертикальные асимптоты). Во всех остальных точках числовой прямой функция непрерывна.
Ответ: $f(x) = \frac{1}{x(x-1)}$.
