133. Докажите, что через любую точку пространства проходит только одна плоскость, перпендикулярная к данной прямой.
Решение
Согласно задаче п. 17 через данную точку М проходит плоскость α, перпендикулярная к данной прямой а. Предположим, что через точку М проходит ещё одна плоскость α₁, перпендикулярная к этой прямой. Тогда плоскости α и α₁ параллельны (см. задачу 123). Но это невозможно, так как эти плоскости имеют общую точку М. Следовательно, наше предположение неверно, и через точку М проходит только одна плоскость, перпендикулярная к прямой а.

Для доказательства этого утверждения воспользуемся методом от противного.
Дано:
Прямая $a$.
Точка $M$, не обязательно лежащая на прямой $a$.
Доказать:
Существует только одна плоскость $\alpha$, такая что $M \in \alpha$ и $\alpha \perp a$.
Доказательство:
1. Существование. Согласно теореме о существовании плоскости, перпендикулярной данной прямой, через любую точку пространства ($M$) можно провести плоскость ($\alpha$), перпендикулярную данной прямой ($a$). Таким образом, мы знаем, что как минимум одна такая плоскость существует.
2. Единственность (доказательство от противного). Предположим, что утверждение неверно. Это значит, что через точку $M$ проходит не одна, а как минимум две различные плоскости, перпендикулярные прямой $a$. Назовем эти плоскости $\alpha$ и $\beta$.
Тогда, по нашему предположению, мы имеем:
- Плоскость $\alpha$ проходит через точку $M$ и $\alpha \perp a$.
- Плоскость $\beta$ проходит через точку $M$ и $\beta \perp a$.
3. Применение теоремы о параллельности плоскостей. Существует теорема, которая гласит: если две плоскости перпендикулярны одной и той же прямой, то они параллельны.
Поскольку обе плоскости $\alpha$ и $\beta$ по нашему предположению перпендикулярны прямой $a$, из этой теоремы следует, что они должны быть параллельны друг другу: $\alpha \parallel \beta$.
4. Получение противоречия. Мы пришли к двум выводам:
- Плоскости $\alpha$ и $\beta$ параллельны ($\alpha \parallel \beta$).
- Плоскости $\alpha$ и $\beta$ имеют общую точку $M$ (по нашему первоначальному предположению).
Эти два вывода противоречат друг другу. По определению, параллельные плоскости не имеют ни одной общей точки. Однако мы предположили, что они пересекаются в точке $M$.
5. Вывод. Полученное противоречие означает, что наше исходное предположение о существовании второй плоскости $\beta$, отличной от $\alpha$ и проходящей через точку $M$ перпендикулярно прямой $a$, было ложным.
Следовательно, такая плоскость может быть только одна.
Ответ: Доказано, что через любую точку пространства проходит только одна плоскость, перпендикулярная к данной прямой.
