Рассмотрим треугольники $ \triangle ABD $ и $ \triangle CBD $.
1. По условию задачи, треугольник $ \triangle ABC $ является равнобедренным с основанием $ AC $. Из этого следует, что его боковые стороны равны: $ AB = CB $.
2. Также по условию, треугольник $ \triangle ADC $ является равнобедренным с основанием $ AC $. Следовательно, его боковые стороны также равны: $ AD = CD $.
3. Сторона $ BD $ является общей для треугольников $ \triangle ABD $ и $ \triangle CBD $.
Таким образом, треугольники $ \triangle ABD $ и $ \triangle CBD $ равны по третьему признаку равенства треугольников (по трем сторонам).
Из равенства треугольников $ \triangle ABD $ и $ \triangle CBD $ следует равенство их соответствующих углов. В частности, нас интересуют углы при вершине B: $ \angle ABD = \angle CBD $. Поскольку точка E лежит на отрезке BD, то $ \angle ABE = \angle CBE $.
Теперь рассмотрим равнобедренный треугольник $ \triangle ABC $. Отрезок $ BE $ является биссектрисой угла $ \angle ABC $, так как он делит этот угол на два равных угла $ \angle ABE $ и $ \angle CBE $.
В равнобедренном треугольнике биссектриса, проведенная из вершины, противолежащей основанию, является также медианой и высотой. В нашем случае $ BE $ — биссектриса, проведенная к основанию $ AC $ из вершины $ B $. Следовательно, $ BE $ является медианой треугольника $ \triangle ABC $.
По определению медианы, она делит противоположную сторону пополам. Это означает, что точка $ E $ является серединой отрезка $ AC $.
Из этого следует, что $ AE = EC $, что и требовалось доказать.
