1) $4x^4 - 17x^2 + 4 = 0$
Это биквадратное уравнение. Сделаем замену переменной. Пусть $y = x^2$, при этом должно выполняться условие $y \ge 0$.
Тогда уравнение примет вид квадратного уравнения относительно $y$:
$4y^2 - 17y + 4 = 0$
Решим это уравнение с помощью дискриминанта.
$D = b^2 - 4ac = (-17)^2 - 4 \cdot 4 \cdot 4 = 289 - 64 = 225$
$\sqrt{D} = \sqrt{225} = 15$
Найдем корни для $y$:
$y_1 = \frac{-b + \sqrt{D}}{2a} = \frac{17 + 15}{2 \cdot 4} = \frac{32}{8} = 4$
$y_2 = \frac{-b - \sqrt{D}}{2a} = \frac{17 - 15}{2 \cdot 4} = \frac{2}{8} = \frac{1}{4}$
Оба корня ($4$ и $\frac{1}{4}$) положительны, значит они удовлетворяют условию $y \ge 0$.
Теперь вернемся к исходной переменной $x$, выполнив обратную замену:
1. Если $y = 4$, то $x^2 = 4$. Отсюда $x_{1,2} = \pm\sqrt{4} = \pm2$.
2. Если $y = \frac{1}{4}$, то $x^2 = \frac{1}{4}$. Отсюда $x_{3,4} = \pm\sqrt{\frac{1}{4}} = \pm\frac{1}{2}$.
