Решение
Для определения знака заряда авторучки необходимо сначала сообщить электроскопу известный, в данном случае положительный, заряд. Для этого нужно коснуться шара электроскопа положительно заряженной палочкой. Часть положительного заряда ($q > 0$) перейдет на электроскоп, в результате чего его лепестки оттолкнутся друг от друга и разойдутся на некоторый угол.
После этого к шару заряженного электроскопа следует поднести потёртую о ткань авторучку, не касаясь его. Далее нужно наблюдать за изменением угла расхождения лепестков. Существует два возможных исхода:
Первый вариант: угол расхождения лепестков увеличится.
Это произойдет в том случае, если заряд авторучки также является положительным. Поднесенный положительный заряд авторучки оттолкнет подвижные положительные заряды в стержне электроскопа вниз, к лепесткам. Концентрация положительного заряда на лепестках увеличится, что приведет к усилению их взаимного отталкивания и, как следствие, к увеличению угла расхождения.
Второй вариант: угол расхождения лепестков уменьшится.
Это будет наблюдаться, если авторучка заряжена отрицательно. Отрицательный заряд авторучки притянет к себе положительные заряды из системы стержень-лепестки. Часть положительных зарядов с лепестков переместится вверх, к шару электроскопа. Это вызовет уменьшение заряда на лепестках, ослабление силы отталкивания между ними, и они сойдутся.
Таким образом, по характеру изменения положения лепестков можно сделать однозначный вывод о знаке заряда авторучки.
Ответ:
Необходимо зарядить электроскоп положительно, коснувшись его положительно заряженной палочкой. Затем к электроскопу поднести авторучку, не касаясь его. Если лепестки электроскопа разойдутся сильнее, то авторучка заряжена положительно. Если лепестки сойдутся, то авторучка заряжена отрицательно.
