1. Состав ядра определяется его массовым числом $\text{A}$ (верхний индекс) и зарядовым числом $\text{Z}$ (нижний индекс). Для изотопа углерода $_{6}^{12}\text{C}$:
Зарядовое число $Z = 6$. Оно равно количеству протонов в ядре. Таким образом, в ядре 6 протонов.
Массовое число $A = 12$. Оно равно суммарному количеству протонов и нейтронов (нуклонов) в ядре.
Количество нейтронов $\text{N}$ можно найти по формуле $N = A - Z$.
$N = 12 - 6 = 6$.
