Пусть даны две параллельные прямые, пересеченные третьей прямой (секущей). Обозначим два накрест лежащих угла, о которых идет речь в задаче, как $\angle 1$ и $\angle 2$.
Основное свойство накрест лежащих углов, образованных при пересечении двух параллельных прямых секущей, заключается в том, что они равны. То есть:
$\angle 1 = \angle 2$
По условию задачи, сумма этих двух углов равна $290^\circ$:
$\angle 1 + \angle 2 = 290^\circ$
Поскольку углы равны, мы можем заменить в этом уравнении $\angle 2$ на $\angle 1$:
$\angle 1 + \angle 1 = 290^\circ$
